I have actually been with a friend who was opening a Nectar Sleep mattress on their own (well, with me). But I mean, she didn’t purchase White Glove service. And I kinda think she wished she had.
For one, White Glove service will bring your mattress inside, up any stairs, and into your bedroom. They’ll unwrap the entire mattress and get it set up on your bed frame. And, if you want them to, they’ll take away your old mattress to throw away or donate.
My friend and I struggled somewhat with getting the mattress up the stairs. It didn’t arrive in a box, but rather in a thick plastic bag, but it was luckily in a shape that made it possible for two people to grab it. However, it was heavy!
Once we had it in her room, we realized there were A TON of layers of plastic to get through. Like, removing all the plastic layers took probably 15 minutes of sweating. And then after it was all done, we still left her old mattress propped up on her wall inside her apartment. Rather awkward. I wonder how long it’ll be until she gets around to removing it.
Probably would have been worth the White Glove service, which is $139 extra.
