Takl is a fantastic app for hiring at-home (or at-office) help for a variety of tasks. But in this post we share 5 other sites like Takl for you to try out.
Sites like Takl
ThumbTack is probably the most similar website to Takl, and is our current go-to site. You can use it to hire people for everything from cleaning to handyman jobs to language lessons, photography, massage, and so much more. One bonus is that you CAN book jobs through the website, whereas Takl (as of writing this post) only lets you book through their mobile app. Thumbtack’s site is really all-encompassing and the website is laid out really nicely. Easy to navigate and book.
To us, TaskRabbit feels like the young-man’s version of Takl or ThumbTack. Tasks on TaskRabbit can be anything, but can also include really trivial silly things that you make up. The pricing structure is less rigid and the task “rabbits” on there might be more up for helping you with the super random task you have in mind. Post a job and see who’s interested:

Handy has fewer job options on its site, as it’s more focussed on cleaning and common handyman jobs, like painting or plumbing. But they’ve been in the on-demand handyman industry for awhile now, so they definitely have things sorted out.
Visit Handy.com to find someone to help you out.
SimplyHired allows users to post their own jobs, rather than listing common categories of jobs. It’s free to post and connect with tons of qualified contractors in your area.
Craigslist is similar to SimplyHired, where you are responsible for posting your own jobs and descriptions. There is also no verification or background check system in place (as there is with Takl), so it’s a bit more of a grab bag.
That’s it for Our Takl Alternatives
