My Sesame Review
I was so excited when CouponSuck asked me to review Sesame. I am absolutely in love with gift box subscriptions! I just received my Fair Ivy box yesterday (my favorite box subscription of all time) and am beyond the moon excited about my gorgeous handmade mug and necklace I received.
So when this opportunity came to add yet another gift box subscription to my list, I naturally jumped on it. (It doesn’t hurt having a Sesame Promo Code either.)
Sesame is the next step for Sincerely, the company that brought us mobile post and greeting cards. They plan to take gifting and card sending to the digital age, and Sesame is just another part of their bigger scheme. They eventually want to build the biggest gifting market in the world. They figure if they can make it easy for people to give gifts, maybe people will send more to their friends.
The Sesame app is beautiful and well laid out. There are a number of boxes currently available now, offering a range of gifts for men, women, babies and more. The plan is to eventually have between 20 and 30 different box subscriptions, so there is always variety but it doesn’t overwhelm the shopper with options. The boxes themselves are beautiful as well. They are blue and white, filled with a nice straw material that is loads better than the typical shipping peanuts. The gift set inside is beautifully wrapped in tissue paper, with personalized notes for the giftee.
All that is left now is to see how well the service takes off, though early estimates put it doing very well. The gift I received was great, a classy cocktail kit with mixings included. The gift was made that much better by the extravagant packaging and nice card. Like the dating scene, first impressions really do matter and Sesame really knocks it out of the park. I have been recommending it to all of my friends, and it doesn’t hurt that I can give them a Sesame Promo Code for $10 off.
